Top Reasons to Choose a Private Villa for Corporate Retreats

The goals of embarking on a corporate retreat can be wide and diverse, but we can all agree that all of them look to build better team cohesion and provide a fresh environment that facilitates outside-of-the-box thinking.

In order to achieve those goals, the very first thing you need to do is finding the right place for your corporate retreat. For years, these kinds of trips have been organized in conventional hotels, making the most of their business facilities such as conference rooms, business centers and meeting rooms. However, you might have noticed that this kind of facilities is very similar to those of most office buildings around the world: impersonal large rooms, fully equipped with boring carpets and air conditioning. We have meeting tables, desks, computers, printers, projectors, and Wi-Fi, so much for creative thinking.

Vacation rentals in general, and private villas in particular, are both enjoying a boom like nothing seen before in the corporate travel industry, and there are good reasons for that. The advantages of renting an exclusive place just for your own team are many and evident, so let’s go through some of them:

Price

No matter how luxurious the villa you choose is, if your team fills most of the available rooms in the property it will definitely be a better deal than taking that same group of people to a hotel of a similar level of luxury. Villas are rented as a unit, while hotels charge per room. Also, if you don’t book an all-inclusive hotel, meals can become another important expense to consider; if you do go to an all-inclusive, then you’ll take your team to an atmosphere of massive tourism, which is hardly the idea of a corporate retreat. Which takes us to our second reason…

Privacy

Privacy is maybe the main asset of private villas. In a private villa rental you won’t be disturbed by fellow guests, and you won’t have to wait for tables to be available or fight for the limited loungers by the pool. You have control over every facility in the property, which allows you to manage your program the certainty that everything will be there for your team, and you won’t have to compete with other guests for the use of any equipment or amenity. What’s more, the members of your team will feel more confident and at ease, with no strangers around.

Facilities

A villa may not have the looks of an office, but it does provide all the facilities a modern office needs. Just instead of having your morning team at a hotel conference room, you’ll have it at a gorgeous outdoor terrace overlooking exotic tropical gardens or an infinity pool by the beach. Are you planning to have a team-building dynamic? Your staff will appreciate that you have it in the private setting of your own patio, away from the sight of curious guests. A closing session by night, will also be more enjoyable at a comfortable and luxurious living room, than at a lobby bar or hotel restaurant.

There are many more reasons to organize your next corporate retreat in a private villa, such as luxury, location, security, food and service, but we truly believe that price, privacy and facilities are the main ones.
